We can re-work our engineered boards in a variety of ways to emulate a century or so of wear and tear. Varying degrees of distressing from worn or chipped edges to scraping the oak face with convex planes. A ‘French Bleed’ can be applied to edges and indents to faithfully reproduce the staining from prolonged use.

The 'Aged' effect can provide a really serviceable low maintenance option for high traffic areas. Small scuffs and accidents will only add more character to the floor. Our reclaimed style parquet floors are in daily use in some of the worlds busiest restaurants bars and hotels.

We can produce planks in 190 or 260mm widths to match the parquet for adjoining areas, flights of stairs etc.

Our standard ranges are produced in a hardwax oil finish. This finish means that with a small amount of maintenance, the finish should last a lifetime and look better and better the more it is used. Alternatively we can supply in a low maintenance ceramic lacquer finish. However re-sanding and re-finishing would take off most of the distressing and ageing and result in a nearly new looking floor.

We can distress all our present range with Herringbone being the easiest and most cost effective parquet to work with.

Options include chipped and worn edges, hand scraped surface, random band saw surface cut marks, worm holes, random surface cut marks. Also French Bleed which leaves all the surface distressing and edges blackened. Also painted effects can be produced using any Farrow & Ball floor paint shade before distressing.
