The company means Birbek Floors LTD T/A Cheville Parquet based in Leeds, England who are dedicated to protecting the privacy rights of our clients.  This privacy policy has been created to inform you how we collect, store and use data.  We will be transparent about how we use your data and will never sell your data.  We will keep your data secure and you can control the data we hold.

By ordering from the company you are agreeing to this policy and how we will process your data including personal information.  If you do not agree to these terms please do not place an order.

Information Collection

We collect information from clients directly sourced via emails or via orders.  The information we will collect and store will only be in relation to your order and will include:

  • Delivery details – 3rd Party couriers

When you pay for products via card or BACS we will retain the information for our records.  We do not have any further access to future payments using this information.

If you contact us via email we will collect your name, email address and any content included in the email.  We will only use this information to respond to your enquiry.

The only 3rd parties we will share your data with are courier companies who will deal with the delivery of the products you have ordered.

We will also acquire information posted by clients via online sources such as our Facebook or Houzz accounts.  This information will be available on the public domain and we can not prevent this information being used in a way that would violate out policy.

Except as described in this policy we will not share any information with any third party or sell your information. If you no longer wish to hold your information please contact the company or if you wish us to update your information please let us know.

Information use

We need the information collected for the purposes described in this policy.  The company’s primary aim in collection of your information is strictly for completing your order, without this data we could not do this.

We may in the future use your information to contact clients in relation to feedback on their orders; we will not use this data for marketing or sell your data.

Google Analytics

The company uses “Google Analytics” to collection information about visits to our website and data such as how often the page is visited and which products are looked at.  This service only collects IP Address and we will not share this data with any 3rd parties for any other use than to analyse the traffic to our site.

Storage of information

The information held by the company is at its head office in Leeds, and only accessed from this location.

Data Retention

We will generally hold your information for 5 years or until you request us to delete this information.  Quotes that have been issued but not completed will be deleted within 6 months.


We use software to protect your information electronically and all of our systems are password protected, all software is frequently updated.  The physical database is stored in a locked building overnight and secure during the day.  We take every precaution to ensure your data is not stolen.  However, we can not guarantee unauthorised access from third parties who can overcome our security measures.  If this did happen the company would notify any parties involved and UK authorities.

Loss of Data

If for any reason your data was stolen / lost we would report this to the local authorities and to the individuals involved within 72 hours.

Your rights to your information

The company once provided with sufficient identification will disclose the information held on clients; you can correct, change or delete this information if you wish.  Please note if you choose to delete your information this may affect any warranties or aftercare you may require with our products in the future.

Changes to this policy

The company may amend this policy if required, we will notify client if anything has been updated.


All employees at the company have signed a contract stating they will not share or disclose any information they come into contact with whilst carrying out their work and that they understand data protection laws.  Any such breaches of data will be severely dealt with and if any information was passed on we would notify the authorities and the clients involved.
